Terrazzo is a product made by mixing crushed stone, glass, quartz stone and other aggregates into cement binders to make a coagulated product and then grinding and polishing the surface.

Terrazzo is a composite material, poured in place or precast, which is used for floor and wall treatments. It consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable material, poured with a cementitious binder, polymeric, or a combination of both.
Terrazzo originated in Italy hundreds of years ago. When the craftsmen at that time were decorating the nobles, they picked up some of the leftover marble scraps home to decorate their own homes and inadvertently invented the method.Terrazzo was first introduced in the United States in the late 1890s, but did not achieve popularity until the 1920s.
Traditional terrazzo has a huge market in China due to its unique advantages such as low cost, arbitrarily color matching, and convenient construction. The terrazzo floor has been used in various urban and rural buildings across the country as much as one billion square meters.
